This initiative is a result of new legislation which requires all homeowners currently receiving a Basic STAR exemption to register with the Tax Department in order to continue to receive the tax benefit in 2014 and subsequent years. Putnam CSD Students Register a 100% success rate on 2011-12 New York State Assessments in ELA, Math & Science
For the 2011-12 school year, 100% of the Putnam Central School District students in grade 3-6 have scored at Level 3 or 4 on the New York State ELA and Math Assessments. Level 3 is the state set bar for proficiency with Level 4 representing a thorough understanding of content.
In addition 100 % of the 4th grade students scored at level 3 or 4 on the 4th grade NYS Science Assessment for the 2011-12 school year.
The Board of Education and Administration congratulates the students and their Teachers for their hard work and dedication.
